During the last Christmas holiday, we really wanted to do something for the community and give back by volunteering for “Caritas” in a project to help out minors from ages 6 – 17 in difficult social situations. Led by our own Irene Gilpérez López we organized an afternoon of fun activities that took place in the parish Sagrada Familia de Cáritas Vicaría II in Madrid. We also brought Santa Claus with us and managed to sneak in some gifts under the tree like dolls, clothing and games! From helping to decorate to providing food and drinks, we were very happy to be able to help out in anyway we could. The smiles on the children’s faces as they opened their gifts or while playing and singing made it all the more worthwhile for us. Thank you Caritas for giving us an opportunity to make a difference.
