We have a unique mix of backgrounds here at Zartis. Recruiting, engineering, HR, legal and financial, the list goes on. Every employee contributes in their own individual way, and that all contributes collectively into making Zartis what it is today.
Following the massive success of the Zartis trip to Lisbon in 2017, Malaga 2018 would have a lot to live up to. We arrived from all over Europe between Thursday evening and Friday morning, with the first activities planned for Friday afternoon.
The first activity planned was a welcome lunch, where both Padraig Coffey, our CEO, and John Dennehy, our Executive Chairman welcomed us to Malaga. There was then an overview of the first 6 months of the year, and John focused in on the #LevelUp initiative running at the moment.
In between the various meals over the next few days, our fantastic organisers Melissa and Irene had a lot of team building activities scheduled. These included tug-of-wars on the beach, “Big Sup” paddle boarding races, walking tours and of course a few late nights thrown in for good measure. Of course we had plenty down-time also where we were able to enjoy all of what Malaga has to offer. Different groups broke off and visited the Picasso museum, the Alcazaba or just chilled out on the beach.
Having nearly 70 employees spread out across 7 offices in 5 different countries it is vitally important for us to bring everyone together to celebrate the diversity that we find in each of our offices. We work cross-functionally and across multiple geographies at Zartis. This means coming together to get to know each other in person has been crucial to our success.
I think it’s fair to say that everyone really enjoyed the trip, and it brought us as a company closer together. I know I’m already looking forward to the 2019 trip!
